Posted by dankwoomy - 6 days ago

500 followers!! that's insane!! i started this month below 400 but the little hominid animation has been getting a ton of love. thank you guys!!

starting off strong on tackling my art resolutions with that animation, and I don't want to let the momentum I'm building die. hoping to experiment a little with some secret ideas or some small OC loops, we'll see!!

on a different note, feel like the 500 milestone is a good time to ask how you fellas would feel about me opening commissions at some point. its been something ive contemplated for a while but it's been hard to not feel like im a sellout with my art for doing it. weird moral dilemma? im sure every artist deals with it so im curious, i know itd certainly be helpful to have some extra flow with my finances while in college, mainly for building savings n having a more proper diet. but its tough to think about doin stuff for money, even though time is golden! i dunno, but know it's on my mind. thank you fellas for the continued support. keep yer eye out for further works

and happy valentines day! XOXO bros 🗿

On the commission note. If you need the money and want the experience go for it, and if you don't particularly enjoy it you can stop.

Commissions can be draining and also they eat up time you could be using to study and improve. I'm currently of the idea that most people should probably do them as a small addition to their practice, so they aren't so green at working for others when they get to a professional level.

i appreciate the response bro!!!

Yoo congratulations dude!!
